WHAT WAS PROJECT MK ULTRA?
MK Ultra Project began in the 1950's and lasted until its termination about 13 years later. While most of the records from this project have been destroyed, it is a fact that during this time frame the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) conducted numerous experiments on humans to test behavioral engineering through controlling and influencing the mind. Scientists hoped to identify methods to control and analyze human behavior in the hope of creating Manchurians (mind- controlled persons.) However, because secrecy was key for the scientists, they would either not tell or lie to the patients regarding the drugs they were given. The patients were exposed to drugs, torture, isolation, hypnosis, etc.

Watch the video below to learn about some of the horrifying experiments the patients underwent.
“The deaths of two Americans can be attributed to these programs; other participants in the testing programs may still suffer from the residual effects. While some controlled testing of these substances might be defended, the nature of these tests, their scale, and the fact that they were continued for years after the danger of surreptitious administration of LSD to unwitting individuals was known, demonstrate fundamental disregard for the value of human life.”
